A STRIKE set to take place on the Docklands Light Railway tomorrow has been called off.
Transport Union RMT had announced that their members would strike from tomorrow (January 20) until the end of service on Friday but operator Serco Docklands obtained an injunction, arguing there were technical issues with the RMT’s balloting.
David Stretch, Serco Docklands’ managing director, branded the action “unwarranted” because there had been many talks with staff.
RMT said workers were angry about not being consulted properly over redundancies alongside new pensions arrangements and new working hours.
