The season of tinsel, toys and turkey may be over but it doesn’t have to be the end of the road for your Christmas tree.
Do your bit for the environment by turning your old Christmas tree into compost using the council’s recycling services.
Between 6 January to the 24 January real Christmas trees can be left out on a food and garden waste recycling day for the council to collect.
Residents in blocks of flats should contact their housing manager to find out about local arrangements.
For more information about recycling please call 020 7364 5004 or visit www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/recycling.
