The rise in anti-social behaviour has had a real detrimental impact on families and communities, with people feeling unsafe on their streets and in their own homes.
The Conservative government’s cuts to the policing budget have led to a 66 per cent reduction in the number of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in London.
I have no doubt that this lack of police presence has led to the unacceptable increase in anti-social behaviour and crime.
Our police force needs the funding and resources to tackle this crime and anti-social behaviour.
That is why the Labour party continue to campaign against cuts to front-line policing, and work together to protect our communities.
