The children normally look a treat in the smart school uniforms.
But this time head-teacher Elizabeth Dickson let the 300 pupils turn up in their ‘glad rags’ for the day.
The youngsters all paid �1 to arrive at St Peter’s London Docks Primary at Wapping, in London’s East End, in their own casual clothes.
It was all to raise cash for less fortunate children the other side of the world caught up in Japan’s Tsunami disaster.
They managed to raise �300 which the school is donating to the British Red Cross Tsunami appeal.
