Every dog has its day—and Jeffrey the Black Labrador has his day in east London on September 23 when Dogs’ Day is formally declared in Wapping.
The four-year-old is lending a paw to his owner Anne Kapranos with the publicity at the Skylight bar and rooftop venue in Pennington Street, off Wapping Lane.
Jeffrey and his mutt pals get plenty of treats such as Turkey Sweet Potato & Apple and Salmon Beetroot & Dill from 12 noon to 6pm, served to every four-legged friend that turns up, while their owners get special doggy cocktails such as Pugtail and Frenchie 75.
Wet food cartons are on offer for a right dog’s dinner, including Chicken & Pumpkin and Chicken & Ocean Fish. Canines preferring organic can get their chops on bites and biscuits supplied by Lily’s Kitchen natural pet foods.
Skylight’s bars will also have collection buckets for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home which has rescued, reunited and rehomed more than three-million pets over the past 150 years.
