MORE East Enders will be able to spot the tell-tale signs of domestic violence as the council provides training to local organisations.
Officers from Tower Hamlets Homes are amongst the first to benefit from the domestic violence awareness training this month.
It will give staff a better understanding of the impact of domestic violence on adult victims and children.
They will find out what to do if someone tells them about a problem and what support services are available. Information on key signs, which can indicate domestic violence, will be discussed.
So far 12 Tower Hamlets Homes staff have been trained. People to benefit from the course include housing officers, lettings officers and technical officers.
The council says that, due to their roles, they are the officers most likely to be the first point of contact for a victim of domestic violence.
