Art in the fast lane for debut of ‘save the world’ super car at Truman’s old brewery

The first-ever Formula E art car was unwrapped at Truman’s Old Brewery after artist Dean Stockton was given a new set of wheels to do what he wants with it.

The result was his bold, colourful trademark on the Virgin Racing Formula E car with its iconic wings to show that art can empower people to make change.

“We all need to take on the mantra of the super hero and help save the world,” he said.

“It’s time to stand together and make a change, whether it’s stopping data theft or addressing climate change and plastic waste. This is our world and we need to look after it.”

The artist known as D*Face teamed up with Kaspersky Lab cyber security for the hot rod art end of the Formula E sport, to tackle climate change and accelerate technological developments in e-mobility.

The art car was on display at the Moniker art fair at Truman’s in Brick Lane at the weekend, following its Formula E debut in July.
