YORK Hall Leisure Centre, known to many as the home of British boxing, has been ranked the sixth best boxing venue in the world by a top industry magazine.
Boxing News placed the leisure centre in their top ten venues list, which included the likes of Madison Square Garden and Caesars Palace in Las Vagas, ranking the Old Ford Road venue the best place to watch boxing outside the USA.
Highlighting York Hall's inclusion, Boxing News described it as an: "Incomparable London boxing venue that's stood in the East End since 1929. Underwent a renovation in 2005 that maintained the building's great character. It holds only around 1,200, including a balcony. There's no better place in the capital."
The article appears in the collector's anniversary edition of Boxing News called 'A Century of Extraordinary Moments'.
