KIDS met their heroes at Disneyland Paris during the Magical Taxi Tour 2010 – a very special journey for children with life-threatening illnesses.

A convoy of 100 cabs set off from Canary Wharf last Friday to take the children to Disneyland for the weekend. The convoy was officially started by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Nick Anstee.

The children enjoyed a day in the theme park and also attended a gala dinner where they got autographs from their favourite Disney characters including Mickey, Minnie and Pluto.

The trip is in its 17th year and each of the taxi driver gives up their time for free to take the children and their families to France for the weekend. French gendarmerie also joined the trip, riding over to the UK for the start and escorting the families on the ferry and roads.
