A 'REVOLUTION' kicks of in London's East End this week banging the drum to help people learn new skills through hobbies.

Activities get off the ground with workshops, clubs and evening classes up and down the country covering everything from sports and art to car maintenance and rambling, organised by Learning Revolution education organisation.

A free drum and percussion workshop is being held at Old Spitalfields Market tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12 noon to 2pm. Members of Emergency Exit Arts, one of Britain's leading street arts companies, are helping visitors try their hand at playing Indian dohl drums, marimba and tuned percussion instruments and make their own instruments.

Singing workshops are planned on Thursday, 12noon-2pm, with the H2 Dance Company and its community choir taking wannabe singers through vocal warm-ups to learn original songs to perform to an audience.
