THE highways and byways of Spitalfields and Whitechapel will be revealed at an illustrated talk at Whitechapel Idea Store tonight.
Despatch driver John Bennett has been photographing the East End for the last 30 years and shares some of his photos at the library on Whitchapel Road as part of the council's first ever book festival.
The free talk starts at 7pm and Mr Bennett will be sharing his expertise about some of the landmarks in historic Spitalfields which was the heart of the Huguenot silk weaving industry, Whitechapel and Mile End.
He is descended from Huguenots and Sephardic Jewish East Enders.
