KIDS from primary schools in London's East End have competed in a competition at the Oval stadium where they've been learning cricket.
Volunteer City workers have been running courses for the 180 pupils from six Tower Hamlets primary schools in the Lloyd's Community Programme's fifth annual cup contest.
Christchurch Primary in Spitalfields took the cup in the final against rivals Virginia Primary from Bethnal Green, following their training sessions, and took home 200 for sports equipment for their school.
"The children feel like they really achieve something on the playing field," said Christchurch teacher Carol Rider. "Being invited here five years ago got the school into cricket and since then we've really taken it on board."
