NEIGHBOURS across the East End tucked into some home-made grub as they joined together for the Big Lunch.
Residents in Tower Hamlets turned out in force for street and garden parties as part of the national event on Sunday.
The aim of the event, organised by the Eden Project, was to bring neighbours together and bring some community spirit to streets up and down the country.
And residents in the borough did not hold back as they made their own food, organised barbecues and some even arranged sporting events for the day.
Among the streets that hosted the parties were Wilmot Street in Bethnal Green and Grand Union Place, Carlton Square and Louisa Street in Stepney.
