SPITALFIELDS City Farm is looking for local residents and community groups to help out with their float for the Lord Mayor's Show.
The farm is one of only four groups in London to have received funding from the Lord Mayor's Show 2010 Community Involvement Scheme.
Community Arts organisation Active Arts, which has delivered similar projects as far afield as South Africa and Kyrgyzstan, will be helping to co-ordinate the project, from developing the design to dancing in the streets.
Naomi Glass from Spitalfields City farm said: "This is a really exciting opportunity for local people to join in with a creative project that celebrates the Spitalfields area. We want to attract a team of people that reflect the diversity of our neighbourhood.

"We will be running workshops in September and October where people will help us design and construct the float, props and costumes for the parade. We also need help to come up with ideas for music and choreography."
