A workshop is being held for wannabe authors teaching them all about creative writing—using the streets and sounds of London’s East End for inspiration.
The one-day ‘Walk and Write’ Saturday workshop on October 27 at the Bishopsgate Institute explores the streets, sounds and people past and present to inspire would-be writers to create short stories and poems. It aims to show how to invent characters and plots and set scenes using the area around for inspiration.
The course at the institute at 230 Bishopsgate, near Liverpool Street station, 12-noon to 5pm, is open to all levels, from beginners to more-established writers. Cost: 49 (concessions 37).
