Britain may be in the sudden grip of winter temperatures hitting zero—but that hasn’t stopped East London’s hardy sports students going for cricket practice with top county players.
Members of the University of East London’s as-yet unbeaten team was invited to a training session with nine Essex County Cricket first team players for a Sunday knockabout with bat on willow.
They went through various activities to develop bowling and fielding skills.
The students were also bowled over by a questions-and-answers session with the top Essex players.
Cricket hopeful Alistair Wood said: “What an unbelievable experience—it was like training with Man United.”
