Pupils have scooped £200 in sports equipment vouchers for their school gym in London’s East End by drinking more milk each day.

Youngsters at Bow Boys Secondary won a national competition by registering the most entries for drinking milk during National School Meals week.

The school’s sports captains were presented with a cheque by Pritchitts’ Viva milk brand’s Mike Morris and will decide themselves how to spend it for the PE department.

The low-fat product has Vitamin D added to make up for the lack of sunshine in Britain which would usually produce enough to help develop immune systems and healthy bones.
