A 'SKILLS' and careers exhibition attracted 53,000 school-leavers and others to East London.
The event at London ExCel in Canning Town exceeded all expectations, making it Britain's largest careers fair.
It attracted 180 exhibitors to help youngsters, parents and teachers with career decisions.
Interactive features included a London Underground train, plastering, bricklaying, fashion design, a football pitch, rowing competition and even a climbing wall.
Youngsters also tried beauty therapy treatments with several colleges including the London College of Beauty Therapy, which is lunching new courses for pupils aged 14 to 18.
They also got the chance to have a go at driving a Honda Formula 1 car or changing the wheel and refueling.
The exhibition was opened by Mayor of London Boris Johnson, while another visitor was Schools Minister Sarah McCarthy-Fry.
