Schoolgirls Shabnam Akhter and Nusrat Chowdhury have been getting an insight into the world of work during the Easter break.
The Central Foundation pupils were among the 230 youngsters from 11 east London secondary schools who have been on work experience through Canary Wharf Group and the Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership. The work placements give youngsters a chance to get experience.
Shabnam spent her time in Canary Wharf’s personnel department on admin tasks, while Nusrat was working with East London Business consortium which matches small enterprises with local suppliers across the Thames Gateway region.
