A six-week consultation was launched today on which open spaces the council should invest in after the £12 Vicky Park restoration.
The council says feedback from residents will be used to help identify improvements needed to existing open spaces and provide direction for how new open spaces in Tower Hamlets should be developed.
The consultation launched last week will also include an independent technical assessment of all parks and open spaces.
The council is proposing to focus on areas the assessment identifies as having the greatest need and consultation feedback will provide direction on what sorts of improvements should be made to these priority areas. Residents will also be able to suggest new open spaces they would like developed.
Residents can take part in an online survey at www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/consultation or request a hard copy by calling 020 7364 2302. There will be also be drop-in sessions at Idea Stores, in Whitechapel from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on September 22, in Bow 10.30am to 1.30pm on September 27, Chrisp Street from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on September 29, Canary Wharf from 10.30am to 1.30pm on October 12, and at Watney Market Library from 10.30am to 1.30pm on October 13.
