Teenagers from across the East End got their groove on at a dance event to prepare for a performance at a prestigious London theatre.
Groups from five Tower Hamlets schools took to the stage at Mulberry School for Girls on April 5 as part of a London-wide dance initiative.
They are hoping for a slot on the Sadler’s Wells stage this summer as part of a special show organised by top choreographers and involving students from 13 London boroughs.
The event, called Step into Dance, is funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation and is the largest of its kind in the UK.
Students have had training in African, Bollywood, Hip Hop and Ballroom among other styles.
