Parents were given pointers on how to help their child learn as much as possible during their early years in a free workshop.
Using a method developed at the turn of the 20th century by Italian physician Maria Montessori, parents were shown useful techniques at Bethnal Green’s Museum of Childhood.
The Montessori method teaches parents to harness the inquisitiveness young children naturally have.
Interactive play sessions and craft workshops were led by leaders in the field, while there was also a chance for parents to discuss their experiences at the event on Saturday.
