A Tower Hamlets school, which is among the most improved in the country, today saw another record increase in GCSE results.
St Paul’s Way Trust School saw 85 per cent of its students achieving at least five A*s to C grades in all subjects, up 13 per cent from the previous year.
The figure for all subjects including English and Math was 57 per cent.
Head teacher Graham Price said: “These are particularly impressive results when we consider all of the national concerns that have been expressed regarding the marking of GCSE English papers this year. I was delighted to see our English results remained so high with well over 60 per cent of students achieving an A* to C grade.
“These excellent results reflect the effort of teachers, students and their families all working together.”
The highest achieving student at the school was head boy Tanvir Rafe, who scored 11 A*s and one A.
Last year the school was named among the 20 most improved schools in the country.
