A group of “giant pandas” visited Columbia Road Primary School last week to improve understanding of one of the worlds’ most threatened species.
The visit was part of Panda Awareness Week, in which schools have been encouraged to sign-up to receive regular updates on a group of pandas in order to keep track of their wellbeing and development.
Children were told about the Chengdu Panda Base in China, and how they can help in the conservation work that goes on there in order to try to preserve the giant panda population.
