Little squirts joined fire fighters during a day of events to promote safety among schoolchildren.
Undergraduate medical and dental students from Queen Mary University helped organise the day as part of the Teddy Bear Hospital scheme.
The project aims to help children feel safer in hospitals and dentists – with a special day of events held at the university’s Whitechapel campus in a bid to improve safety at home, in the playground and on roads.
Kids took part in workshops exploring interactive human bodies, as well as receiving tips from fire and ambulance crews and the police on how to cope in emergencies.
The event saw children from Stewart Headlam Primary School in Bethnal Green try to avoid the spray of the fire hose on April 24 in Whitechapel Road.
