Morpeth gets Ofsted praise for last Summer’s GCSE results

The school has been rated as outstanding’ following two inspections.
Latest GCSE results put it among the top secondaries in Tower Hamlets with 53 per cent of pupils achieving grades A* to C including English and Maths last summer, compared to 11 per cent in 1992.

Morpeth is described in the report as having a “powerful culture and ethos, based on a strong, shared commitment to meeting students’ often complex needs”.
Head teacher Sir Alasdair Macdonald is praised for his commitment to “moral purpose, integrity and trust.”
