Pupils from Thomas Buxton and St Anne’s Primary Schools teamed up for a joint Jubilee parade along Buxton Street and through Allen Gardens.
Around 800 children from the two schools were involved, with pupils from St Anne’s dressing up as Kings and Queens, while Thomas Buxton pupils were adourned in Commonwealth-themed costumes.
Headteacher at Thomas Buxton Primary, Lorraine Flanagan, said: “We’ve been learning about the Commonwealth and the Monarchy as well as part of our celebrations for the Jubilee. Now we’re looking forward to teaming up with St Anne’s again to mark the Olympics!”
