The evening marked the first public use of the newly-refurbished People’s Palace, a grade two listed building.
A talent show allowed students, staff and members of the public to show off their credentials, and there was also a performance from The Naked Scientists, a duo who have achieved exploded onto the science scene with their interactive radio shows and podcasts.
