Around 200 people have contacted Tower Hamlets Council to suggest a location for the iconic traffic light tree removed from the Isle of Dogs.
The sculpture which stood on Heron Quay roundabout at Westferry was removed by the council last year, to make way road changes, causing uproar among residents.
The council then urged residents to help them suggest a new home for the structure which has 75 flashing lights, and led to Westferry winning a competition in 2005 to find the country’s best roundabout.
A council spokeswoman said: “ A decision will be made on its final home after engineering and other assessments have been made.”
