Youngsters from housing estates in London’s East End have been given a unique look behind the scenes at a City investment bank to find out what working in finance would be like.
They were invited to a workshop at the Japanese Nomura bank, organised by Tower Hamlets Homes through the East London Business Alliance.
The 11 ‘ambassadors’ learned about opportunities for internships and possibly joining the bank.
The housing body is planning more guidance sessions for youngsters on its estates including one for confidence-building skills, to get them ready to go out into the working world when they leave school.
