KIDS showed up in force on Sunday to hunt out hidden eggs in Mile End Park.

Around 240 children came with spades in hand to search out golden tokens hidden in the sandpit of the children's play park off Burdett Road. The tokens were then exchanged for eggs.

Reinforcement eggs even had to be sent for with a better than expected turnout, helped no doubt by the rain steering clear of the Easter event.

Children of all ages got stuck into the sand and seemed more than happy with their haul.
