CARE home residents are getting in the party mood as they gear up to celebrate Eid.

The Muslim festival marking the end of Ramadan will be celebrated next Friday (September 25) at Sonali Gardens Extra Care Scheme in Shadwell.

There will be music, decorations and a feast to mark the end of the fast of Ramadan at the centre in Sultan Street from 1.30pm.

Manager Jesmin Hannan said: "The home will be decorated to look like an Asian wedding and there will be fun and festivities for all.

"The residents and staff are really excited and plan to celebrate in style.
