EIGHT vehicles were burnt out after a fire at a car yard off the Blackwall Tunnel on Tuesday.
Four fire engines and around 20 fire fighters were called at 2.55pm shortly after the blaze started in Ailsa Street, Poplar.
The crews, from Poplar, Bow, Bethnal Green and Stratford fire stations, put the flames out by 4.22pm.
A number of gas cylinders involved in the fire were made safe by fire fighters.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is now underway.
