FOREIGN Office minister Glenys Kinnock was canvassing support for an MP hopeful when she dropped into the East End this week.

Former MEP and wife of ex-Labour leader Neil, Baroness Kinnock was knocking on doors and chatting to shoppers in Roman Road Market, Bow with the Bethnal Green and Bow Parliamentary candidate Rushanara Ali.

It was the second Kinnock to visit Tower Hamlets in a week as her husband Lord Kinnock joined Ms Ali at her campaign launch at Mulberry School on Tuesday evening.

Lady Kinnock insisted Ms Ali was "exactly what this constituency needs" as she claimed the East End had been "transformed" under Labour.
