Six hours of live music will be put on in Victoria Park as part of a Big Gig celebration being held across the UK.

The Friends of Victoria Park group has brought together a diverse group of musicians and artists to perform for an afternoon in the west side of the park.

Among those performing on the afternoon of Sunday July 14 are The Grand Union Youth Orchestra and Sing! Tower Hamlets choir.

Richard Desmond, who is chair of Friends of Victoria Park, said: “Our participation last year filled us with enthusiasm for music in the park. This year we are doing six hours of live music – a fantastic event that will be part of the nationals Our Big Gig celebration of music.”
