VOLUNTEERS will be rolling up their sleeves to help clear some of the rubbish from the banks of River Thames in Limehouse tomorrow (Saturday October 9).

The event has been organised by environmental charity Thames 21 together with estate agent Lesley Balding from London Link Properties to tackle the build up of rubbish which threatens wildlife.

Anyone who wants to help should contact Lesley Balding on 020 7987 7778 in advance to book a place.

The clean up starts at 10am and continues until 3pm and volunteers should wear old clothes.

Tasks on the canal will include litter picking, cutting back overhanging vegetation and graffiti removal.
