Children had their faces painted and enjoyed dance performances at a community open day in one of the borough’s deprived wards.
Hind Grove Cultural and Community Association put on the events to bring neighbours together and also offered information about Ramadan, which kicks off next month, and other Muslim customs.
The events took place during the afternoon on Saturday and were open to all residents of Hind Grove in Poplar.
