Muslim families across east London attended mosques to celebrate Eid which marks the end of Ramadan.

Many arriving at the East London Mosque in Whitechapel yesterday wore colourful clothes.

Parents took their children to the mosque where there were cakes and balloons bearing the message Eid Mubarak.

In East Ham, families from many faiths welcomed the end of Ramadan at East Ham Market where traders organised a Chaand Raat with music and other festivities.
