Please, won't someone turn the light off?

Dear Editor, THE empty Limehouse public library in Commercial-road has had all its lights on 24/7 for months. I have written to the Town Hall, but have had no acknowledgment from Tower Hamlets council. I have phoned, only to be told that it is probably 'a security measure'! Huh!

Dear Editor,

THE empty Limehouse public library in Commercial-road has had all its lights on 24/7 for months. I have written to the Town Hall, but have had no acknowledgment from Tower Hamlets council.

I have phoned, only to be told that it is probably 'a security measure'! Huh!

At a time when many council taxpayers struggle to pay their bills, I find this absolutely disgraceful.

No Tower Hamlets councillor should tell us about saving energy or saving the planet when they can let this continue at Limehouse.
