Dear Ed,

THANK YOU Ellen Ferris and Ann Ahern, from Exmouth Estate Residents Board in Stepney, for confirming in their website letter today Swan Housing’s intention to build six-storey blocks on our green spaces next to Commercial Road (East London Advertiser website letters, April 1).

I am not going to waste time arguing whether it is going to be 90 or 100 flats. It makes little difference do the argument.

The bare facts are that the majority of the people, more than 350 households, are against Swan Housing’s proposals to build on our green spaces.

The people have spoken—so Ellen Ferris and the rest of the Residents Board should start listening to the families instead of spewing Swan Housing propaganda.

After all, we are told they represent Exmouth estate residents—not Swan Housing.

S Jobber

Exmouth Estate, Commercial Road, Stepney
