Dear Ed,

I AM organizing a reunion in East London for former pupils of Tower Hamlets School for Girls, which opened 1965 but changed its name in 1983 to Mulberry.

This is the biggest reunion for the 1970s, rather than just class reunions. If anyone went to the school any time between 1971 and 1981, the reunion is from 12.30 to 3.30pm at the Lord Nelson pub in Manchester Road, on the Isle of Dogs, on Saturday (July 17). Full details on Facebook and Friends Reunited, under the full name of the school.

We'd like former pupils to come along with their memories, like favourite teachers. Head teacher Daphne Gould retired in 1985. She was followed Marlene Roebottom. You may remember other teachers like Mrs Gould, Mrs Dean, Mrs Bolster, Ms Rodell, Ms Pantlin, Ms Panasar, Mrs Kirk, Miss Gibson, Mrs Westlotorn and Mrs Thornton, or Phil Dean's geography class.

We all remember Major, the fish pond, sports days, swimming tournaments, the friendly clashes between Keller, Boadicea, Nightingale and Tudor and, of course, our class mates. Hopefully we'll rekindle old school friendships on Saturday.
