Why do I pay to park in my street, when minicabs don't?

I WROTE some time ago about how unfair it was for some residents to pay for parking permits outside their own homes, while mini cab drivers park free, which the Advertiser printed. The reply came back (from Tower Hamlets council) that as soon as parking permits were in place, minicab drivers wouldn't be able to park. Needdless to say, nothing's changed

I WROTE some time ago about how unfair it was for some residents to pay for parking permits outside their own homes, while mini cab drivers park free, which the Advertiser printed. The reply came back (from Tower Hamlets council) that as soon as parking permits were in place, drivers of mini cabs would no longer be able to park.

Needless to say, nothing has changed. The minicabs still park all round Arnold-road in Bow, at the back of these flats, and also here in Tomlins-grove.

There were four minicabs parked here at 9.45am on Sunday (March 9). The drivers each chose to shout to each other. The language was also a little choice.

When will it be stopped so we can get some peace?
