More trains ran on time on the Fenchurch Street line through east London and Essex than anywhere else in the country, according to latest rail industry figures out today.
National Express c2c’s Southend run has been named Britain’s ‘most punctual’ service in the four weeks to May 25 with 98 per cent punctuality—boosting the company’s average annual record to just over 97 per cent, which is six per cent above the national average.
The Department for Transport earlier this month extended c2c’s franchise until September next year.
