Passenger services into Fenchurch Street are once again top of the rail industry’s league table for punctuality.

They managed to get 97.5 per cent of c2c trains arriving on time last month, the best result of any operator in Britain, according to latest Network Rail statistics.

Overall average figures for the past 12 months totalled 97.1 per cent, which also puts c2c trains on top of the industry’s annual table, compared with the national average of 89.5pc, which the company has held on to since December 2011.
