Ensembles, choirs and 20 schools come together to perform. The line-up includes Newham Youth Orchestra, Lister Jazz Band and Brampton Primary School’s The Twist & Shakers, as well as a massed performance featuring singers from across east London.

A newly-commissioned song, Flying Solo, by award-winning choral composer Gabriel Jackson, is being premiered by the Extraordinary Voices choir.

The extravaganza follows last year’s Troxy festival and the first gathering at the Copper Box Arena in the Olympic Park in 2014, organised by Newham Music.

Tickets for the 2016 Festival of Youth at the Troxy in Commercial Road opening on Tuesday are £6 adult, £5 concession and £1 under 18s available online. [DLR and C2C: Limehouse]
