FIRE crews were called to a tower block in London's East End last night when smoke filled the entrance hall.
They had to break into the ceiling void between the ground-floor and first-floor of the 20-storey Sandall House at Daling way in Bow to reach the smouldering material to prevent any serious blaze breaking out.
The building had to be ventilated, but no-one was injured or evacuated. Investigators were later looking into the cause of the smoke.
