Commuters may be delayed driving home from work this evening as firefighters investigate the cause of a fire in Whitechapel.
The A11 Whitechapel Road is partially blocked eastbound at the Greatorex Street junction due to accident investigation works.
Around 80 people were evacuated from Hughes Mansions, Valence Road, after a fire broke out on the third floor of flats at 12.45am yesterday.
There is also congestion on the A12 Blackwall Tunnel Approach southbound from Bromley-by-Bow to the A102 Blackwall Tunnel junction.
