AN EVENING on "how to win business" in the face of the recession attracted 50 small businesses from all over East London.
The networking event at Canary Wharf was part of the Archant London Business Awards.
Glenn Addis from East London Business Place spoke about how they have helped secure business for companies over the last five years in the Thames Gateway area, with their list of contacts.
Claire Evans from Archant London, publishers of the East London Advertiser, introduced the Thames Gateway Business awards with a prize fund of �100,000 that was put up this year in the 15 categories.
The Thames Gateway Business awards are still open until August 28, applications online.
