A TEENAGER was whipped with belts and chains when he was robbed for his jewellery and cash in a park on Friday afternoon.
The 16-year-old was in Grove Hall Park, off Bow Road, with friends around 3.40pm when he was attacked by a gang of around nine youths.
Gold chains were pulled from the boy's neck and cash was stolen from his pocket during the attack which saw him punched, kicked and hit with chains and belts.
The suspects are all described as Asian boys. One was wearing a green hooded-top and blue bottoms, another was wearing an orange hooded-to and a third was wearing a blue hooded-top and is also thought to have used his belt to hit the boy.
The victim was treated for a fractured cheek and a swollen eye but has bee discharged from hospital.
