Blackpool boss disappointed his team didn’t score more than three at Bloomfield Road
Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer was disappointed with the finishing of his players during Saturday’s match with Leyton Orient.
The Tangerines claimed a 3-1 win on the final-day of the regular League Two season, but it should have been more.
Neil Danns, Mark Cullen and Andy Taylor netted against Orient, though Brad Potts wasted some great chances and Kyle Vassell was denied on several occasions by O’s Sam Sargeant.
Jens Janse did pull one back for the away side in the 50th minute to make it 2-1, but it was a mere consolation in the end.

“I thought we started the game ever so well and got a couple of good goals, which settled us down and then we played some good football,” said Bowyer.
“We come in at half time 2-0 up, but the message was ‘the job isn’t done’ and it proved to be the case even if there was a foul in the build-up to their goal.

“It was a soft goal for us to concede, but we recovered and carried on creating chances and Andy scoring just settled us down and I am disappointed then that we haven’t gone on and won by more because we should have.
“We carved them open and created opportunities that we just didn’t take and whilst we are patting each other on the back for getting in the play-offs, we have to be better in front of goal.”
Janse’s goal for O’s in the 50th minute occurred just after Potts had blazed over with only Sargeant to beat.
For a brief moment it seemed as though Orient may get back into the game, but Taylor quickly ensured the points would be going to Blackpool.
Bowyer added: “After that (Potts) miss, I turned to Andy Todd and said Leyton Orient will score now because that is just how the game goes.
“It is experience that makes you know that those things will happen, unfortunately so for us, but we showed great composure when they scored.
“We didn’t go into panic mode and carried on doing what we were doing, so that was pleasing.”
